Urchin's range of family trampolines is supplied exclusively by Super Tramp - the UK's most experienced and respected manufacturer of trampolines.
What makes a good trampoline? It can be difficult trying to differentiate between the different brands of trampoline available. When comparing, the advice from Supertramp is to consider the following factors:FrameThe metal frame components on your trampoline should be adequately strong, tight fitting, and properly protected from rust.SpringsThis is the engine of your trampoline! The rule of thumb is that the greater the total weight of working wire the better. More springs and bigger springs are better. Often this is the difference between a cheap, budget trampoline and a higher quality trampoline. Fewer and shorter springs will give a harder bounce which is more likely to hurt your child.BedThe mesh fabric used on most trampolines is generally the same but the difference lies in the spring anchor bars that are sewn into the fabric of the bed. Look for heavy stitching on better quality beds. It's also helpful to have a centre mark on the bed to encourage your kids to bounce near the centre of the bed.Frame padsThe frame pads can also make a big difference to the safety and durability of your trampoline. Look for generous padding and secure fitting. Remember that smaller children will be doing a lot of climbing on and off their trampoline!AccessoriesTrampoline safety nets are increasingly popular and quality can vary hugely. Look for sturdy and well placed poles, strong netting and easy access to the trampoline. Although all of our SuperTramp trampolines are designed to live outdoors all year round, an all weather cover will extend the life of the bed and keep it clean over winter. Make sure you choose a cover with drain holes!Trampoline safetyThe increased popularity of trampolining and the proliferation of cheap garden trampolines available in the high street have both contributed to an increase in injuries resulting from trampolining mishaps. It is important to read the comprehensive handbook that comes with your Super Tramp trampoline, and take the time to explain to your children how to use their fantastic new toy safely. Do this, and you will find that the whole family will enjoy many happy hours of trampolining fun.The choicethe RabbitThe Rabbit is a great value round trampoline from SuperTramp's Spring Time range.
