Who can be an Urchin affiliate?
Because we hold the interests of our customers and the reputation of our brand close to our hearts, it's simply not possible to have an open eligibility policy. Many potential affiliates just wouldn't really match the Urchin brand, so we're looking for well-matched partners with whom we can have a long and mutually profitable relationship.

Checking your eligibility to become an Urchin affiliate is a two-stage process.

Step 1: Affiliate screening
The first step is to apply to Affiliate Window, our affiliate network. They will screen you to ensure that you meet the criteria required for joining their network. Affiliate screening saves a lot of time and resources as only applicants that pass this initial screening will be able to apply for the Urchin program. Please note that all applications are screened based on the profile submitted when registering.

Screening ensures your website is:

• Well designed and properly built
• Free from any potentially offensive or pornographic content

Please note that acceptance by Affiliate Window does mean that you will be accepted by Urchin as a partner - it is the first stage in the process.

Step 2: Approval by Urchin
To be accepted as an Urchin affiliate your website must:

• Pass the affiliate screening
• Include a section for children's products

The following types of site are acceptable:

• UK sites
• Coupon or deal sites
• Search engines
• Homepages or personal websites
• Sites that contain downloadable software components

The following types of site are not acceptable:

• Sites under construction
• Competitor web sites
• Sites that promote, contain, or link to sexually explicit or graphic materials and/or language
• Sites that promote violence
• Sites that promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
• Sites that promote illegal activities and substances
• Sites that contain any libellous, defamatory or disparaging materials
• Sites that contain material that is defamatory, fraudulent, or harassing to us or any third party
• Sites that have a clear stated mission that is in part to support religious or politically active causes, as represented on the homepage or key landing pages

We try to respond to approval requests within 48 hours but if you haven't heard from us within this time, please contact our marketing team.

Please note that if an affiliate fails to meet the terms of our agreement we may remove them at any time.
