The rail is made of white and natural coloured wood.It has a very smooth feel to it so very safe for children as no danger of splinters. It is reasonably small so it will fit easily into most childrens bedrooms.It was very easy to assemble with an allen key (supplied) so you dont even need a screwdriver. This is the perfect rail to hang dressing up clothes on, as it is just the right height for small hands to get at the clothes, thus ensuring they are played with a lot. A great product!.
